Hidetada Yamagishi, 47, Japanese bodybuilding veteran, has signed a contract to compete in his tenth Olympia. The athlete, who competed five times at Olympia Weekend in the open class and four times in bodybuilding to 212 lbs, will return to the Las Vegas stage at the end of the year, where he will try to improve last year's eighth place. The Japanese qualified this year thanks to his victory at the Fall Monsterzym Pro tournament, where he beat Egyptian Ahmed Wardany, albeit with a somewhat controversial decision. Photos (below in the text of this news. Approx. Ironflex.com.ua) show in what form this athlete, who has been in the professional league IFBB Jim Manion since 2005, less than fifteen weeks before the show. Yamagishi chose the lighter category up to 96 kg for the upcoming winter performance, as he wrote on his Instagram page:
14 weeks and 4 days left until @mrolympiallc. I just signed my 10th Olympia show and it's official.
He continues to shift more and more towards the role of organizer of bodybuilding and fitness competitions in recent years. So, on Saturday, September 5, in the Japanese city of Ichikawa, which is home to about half a million people, another amateur competition was held, organized under the auspices of NPC Worldwide this year, where cards were played for the IFBB Professional League. The Hidetada Yamagishi & Iris Kyle Japan Classic tournament took place here, in which this time only Japanese citizens and athletes with the status of a resident of Japan could take part in the fight for the favor of the judges.
