African Arnold Sports Festival postponed

1 min read

Only last night it became known that the 2020 Arnold Sports Festival Africa was also rescheduled. His promoter, Wayne Price, until Saturday (14-3-2020) was still confident that the event would take place. As the threat of coronavirus has increased worldwide, Price has made the difficult decision to postpone the event. In the last couple of days, the Arnold Sports Festival has reported the same decision in Australia and South America. Wayne posted a short message on his personal Facebook page:

After extensive meetings with the authorities regarding today's speech by the President, the safety of participants and spectators is a priority for the IFBB, so we have no choice how to cancel all IFBB / BBSA events on our calendar until the end of May 2020. This year, Arnold Classic Africa 2020 will be carried forward to the end of this year! This week we will notify you of a new date! I also encourage all our promoters of such sanctioned events to consider moving your shows to the end of this year! Working together, we can mark all the shows on the calendar. Please take care and take care of yourself. In sport, we stand together!
We are the IFBB Family.

The only remaining event of the Arnold Sports Festival is the European competition, which will be held in Seville in September 2020. The event is also sanctioned by IFBB and IFBB Elite Pro. . (tagsToTranslate) Arnold Sports Festival Africa (t) Coronavirus (t) 2020
